Compliance
VitalSpec is committed to operating responsibly, lawfully and transparently across international industrial, critical infrastructure and defence-related supply chains.
We recognise that certain goods, technologies, services and destinations may be subject to export controls, trade restrictions, sanctions regimes and other regulatory requirements. Compliance forms a core part of our operating model and commercial decision-making.
Our objective is simple: to ensure that every engagement is conducted with appropriate diligence, documentation and oversight.
Export Controls
VitalSpec operates within applicable export control frameworks and seeks to identify relevant licensing, classification and regulatory requirements before activities proceed.
Where transactions involve controlled goods, technology or services, we work with customers, suppliers and specialist advisers to ensure that appropriate controls, permissions and approvals are considered and applied where required.
We will not knowingly participate in transactions that breach applicable export control laws, licence conditions or international trade restrictions.
Counterparty Due Diligence
We conduct proportionate due diligence on suppliers, customers, intermediaries and other counterparties involved in our engagements.
This may include verification of:
- Corporate identity and legal status
- Ownership and beneficial ownership structures
- End-user information
- End-use declarations
- Regulatory status
- Manufacturing capability
- Trading history and reputation
- Sanctions and restricted-party screening
We reserve the right to decline engagements where concerns cannot be satisfactorily resolved.
Sanctions Compliance
VitalSpec seeks to ensure that its activities comply with applicable sanctions regimes and trade restrictions.
Transactions may be subject to screening and review to identify restricted entities, individuals, destinations or activities.
Where sanctions-related concerns arise, engagements may be suspended, escalated for review or declined entirely.
Supply Chain Integrity
We believe resilient and transparent supply chains are fundamental to long-term success.
Our sourcing and supply-chain activities are supported by documented diligence, supplier assessment and traceability measures designed to improve visibility across the procurement lifecycle.
Where appropriate, we seek evidence of supplier capability, quality controls, certifications and manufacturing processes.
Documentation and Traceability
We maintain records relating to sourcing activities, supplier engagement, due diligence, contractual arrangements and transaction history.
Our approach is designed to support transparency, accountability and traceability throughout the lifecycle of an engagement.
Information Security
VitalSpec recognises the importance of protecting commercially sensitive, technical and customer information.
We are implementing a formal information security programme based on recognised industry standards and best practice.
Our controls include secure information handling, access management, authentication controls and appropriate safeguards for the storage and transmission of business information.
VitalSpec is working towards Cyber Essentials certification and the implementation of ISO 27001-aligned information security controls.
Anti-Bribery and Ethical Conduct
VitalSpec is committed to conducting business with integrity, professionalism and fairness.
We do not tolerate bribery, corruption, fraud, facilitation payments or attempts to circumvent applicable laws, regulations or compliance requirements.
We expect equivalent standards from suppliers, partners and customers with whom we conduct business.
Human Rights and Responsible Business
We support responsible business practices throughout our supply chains and expect suppliers and partners to operate in accordance with applicable laws relating to labour standards, modern slavery and human rights.
Where concerns are identified, they are reviewed as part of our due diligence and risk assessment processes.
Quality and Continuous Improvement
We seek to work with suppliers that demonstrate appropriate quality management, manufacturing discipline and continuous improvement practices.
Where relevant, quality assurance, inspection, traceability and documentation requirements form part of our supplier evaluation process.
Specialist Advice
Certain transactions require specialist legal, regulatory, customs, export control or technical expertise.
Where appropriate, VitalSpec engages suitably qualified professional advisers to ensure that requirements are assessed and managed correctly.
